Your voice calms my soul,

the sparkle in your eye always catches mine.

The feeling of happiness that spreads through,

just from a simple touch.

Even the hint of a smile,

contagious as I feel the corners of my lips curl up,

to match yours.

Safety envelops me as your arms wrap around me.

Your laughter like music to my ears,

warming my heart like a fire.

The fear in letting you in

dissipates as your lips meet mine,

making me wonder why I was ever scared.
